The Institute for Therapy through the Arts (ITA) is looking for a Registered Drama Therapist to provide individual and group therapy sessions at a therapeutic day school in Northfield, Illinois. The therapist will have 2-3 hours of client contact per week with potential for more hours to be added. We are looking for an experienced clinician skilled in working with adolescents with anxiety and mood disorders.

The Music Institute of Chicago posts the following job, Vice President and Executive Director of the Institute for Therapy through the Arts (ITA)

Principal Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan, including the analysis of existing practices, development of professional networks, and development of new partnership ventures, etc.
  • Maintain an active client practice
  • Provide clinical supervision for treatment of creative arts therapy clients.
  • Diagnostic evaluation and testing
  • Work closely with Development Department to identify and cultivate individual donors and other philanthropic funding sources.

Qualifications include:

1. Psychology (PhD or PsyD) degree required

2. Psychology license required

3. Creative arts therapy credential strongly preferred

4. 3-5 years experience in business development in creative arts therapy, psychiatry, psychology or related field

Competencies include:

1. Strong business development (marketing, finance, strategic planning, etc) skills.

2. Strategic thinker

3. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

4. Advanced knowledge of Creative Arts Therapy

5. Excellent communications skills i.e. persuasive writing, public speaking, etc.

6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

7. Strict adherence to ethical code of conduct as outlined by American Psychological Association

Salary: $80,000/dependent on qualifications
