19 July 2011:
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I will be starting an 8 week fall supervision/training group for creative arts therapists on Thursday evenings.
We will focus on group and individual work with patients ages 12 and up.
Special concentration will be on the integration of verbal and nonverbal (dance, movement, art, drama and music) expression in long term clinical treatment.
We will also cover psychodynamic psychotherapy treatment, as well as the skills necessary for the development and maintenance of a private practice. Essential psychological and diagnostic concepts will be addressed, including clinical issues mutually agreed upon within the group.
While some of our work will be geared toward private practice, you do not have to be in private practice to benefit from the workshop.
Day and Time: Thursday evenings 7 to 8:30
Cost: $360 for 8 session
Beginning: Oct 6th
Location: 136 Sixth Ave, Brooklyn, NY
If you are interested, please call me at 718 638 6427 or email me at franjlevy@yahoo.com.
My goal is to provide a supportive environment in which participants can feel free to openly share their thoughts and feelings while the group is learning and growing together.
There will be an informal interview prior to joining the group in order to insure that the group will meet individual needs. Please feel free to share your questions and concerns.
I look forward to hearing from you.
